Using Chitti

These terms govern the Chitti messaging service and website. The service is provided under the name Chitti. Questions can be sent to harshita210604@gmail.com. You must agree to these terms and our Community Guidelines to use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.

Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 13 and meet any higher age or consent requirements where you live. If you cannot legally agree to these terms on your own, obtain the permission required by your local law. Do not impersonate someone else or use an account without permission.

Protect your password and devices. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account. Tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. Chitti does not require an email address or phone number for registration, and password or backup-passphrase recovery may not be possible.

Your conversations and content

You retain ownership of your messages and media. You must have permission to share them and respect other people’s privacy, intellectual property, and consent. You grant only the permissions reasonably necessary to transmit, store, display, and otherwise operate the service features you request, including encrypted delivery and optional encrypted backups.

Recipients can keep or share material you send. Delivery, editing, and deletion controls cannot guarantee that a recipient has not already viewed or saved a copy.

Acceptable use

Do not use Chitti for threats, harassment, hate, exploitation, non-consensual intimate imagery, fraud, spam, illegal goods or activities, infringement, malware, or attempts to compromise accounts or infrastructure. Do not create, possess, distribute, solicit, or facilitate child sexual abuse material or child sexual exploitation, including grooming or sextortion.

Follow the Community Guidelines. Do not evade blocks, send unwanted bulk messages, abuse reporting systems, or interfere with the service.

Reports, enforcement, and safety

Use available in-app report and block controls or contact Support to report abuse. Include a username or group identifier and a brief explanation. Do not send illegal material. Chitti cannot routinely read encrypted conversations or automatically attach readable chat history to an abuse report.

We may investigate available evidence and restrict or terminate accounts used for abuse or violations. Where feasible and appropriate, we provide an explanation and an opportunity to contact support about a mistake; urgent safety or legal circumstances can require immediate action. We may act on information we lawfully receive and cooperate with relevant authorities as required by law.

Chitti is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service.

App licence and intellectual property

Subject to these terms and applicable store rules, you may use Chitti for its intended purpose on devices you are entitled to use. The Chitti app, branding, and other service materials remain proprietary except for components governed by their own open-source licences.

Except where applicable law or an applicable open-source licence permits it, do not copy, sell, redistribute, modify, decompile, reverse-engineer, or attempt to reconstruct proprietary source code without permission. This restriction does not override lawful rights or applicable open-source terms.

Apple and Google downloads

If you obtain Chitti through Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the app licence unless a separate custom EULA is supplied in the store. These terms also govern the Chitti service. Apple is not the provider of Chitti support.

If you obtain Chitti through Google Play, the applicable Google Play terms also apply. Apple and Google do not operate Chitti’s messaging service. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Availability and changes

Features and availability may change. We do not promise uninterrupted delivery, permanent availability, or recovery of lost messages, passwords, private keys, or backup passphrases. Keep your app updated and make any supported backups you need.

Material changes to these terms will be identified by an updated date and communicated through an appropriate available channel. If you do not accept a change, stop using the service and you may delete your account.

Ending your use

You can stop using Chitti at any time. Uninstalling the app does not delete the account or optional server backup. Use Settings → Delete account or the account deletion page to remove your account and associated data. Some information, such as messages saved on recipients’ devices, is outside our ability to remove.

We may suspend or end access where necessary to address violations, security risks, legal obligations, or discontinuation of the service. Provisions that reasonably need to continue, such as ownership and limitations required by law, survive termination.

Responsibility and applicable law

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without a promise that it will be free of interruption or error. We do not exclude any guarantee, remedy, responsibility, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.

These terms do not take away rights you have under the law that applies to you. For a dispute or concern, contact harshita210604@gmail.com first so we can try to resolve it. No compulsory arbitration or exclusive court location is imposed by this page.
